Bio:

Vaughn Glover was born and raised in Los Angeles. While at Columbia University he realized that he loved traveling and wanted to do as much as possible. He knew that learning a foreign language would help him in this so he decided to learn Spanish and Portuguese. It was during college that his love of international music and film began and following graduation he began working with the Pan African Film and Arts Festival in Los Angeles as the programmer for Latin American and Caribbean films. This began a 2-year stint programming film and music festivals in the US and in Latin America. During that time he worked with the H20 festival in New York; the Hutuz festival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Strictly Mundial in Salvador, Brazil; and the Annual hip hop festival in Havana, Cuba. He worked on "Brasilintime," a documentary about a group of American musicians' journey to Brazil and their exposure to Brazilian music from generations past and was an invited speaker at the World Forum on Music in 2005. In 2003 he took his love of music, event production to Brazil and started a company producing and promoting concerts in Brazil. Vaughn had a lot of fun and a lot of success at that venture but after two years decided that he wanted to change directions and test the corporate world. Thus, in September of 2005, Vaughn began working as a marketing consultant for Sprint-Nextel. That experience helped Vaughn learn a lot about himself and about the work to which wanted to dedicate himself. He was more certain than ever that he had to do work that was in line with his vision for the world. Vaughn happily quit his job as a marketing consultant and became a partner in The Reverence Project in July of 2007 and since then has managed the development of a wellness center in Brazil. After months of toying with the idea, Vaughn completed a permaculture design course in August, 2007 and in February of 2008 he completed a program in real estate development at USC and began working with Nextaid, a Los Angeles based non profit managing the development of a community center in South Africa.
