Bio:
Sukh Chugh graduated with an MBA and began to work in the management consulting industry. Surrounded by wealth and power he realized that there was a greater life still awaiting him. After 9/11/01, he took the first flight to New York City and volunteered with several organizations. That was just the beginning of his journey of service. At the end of 2001 he visited the slum neighborhoods of India and decided that his corporate life was over he was set on devoting his life in the service of others. Upon his return from India, he started a non-profit volunteer-run organization called Be The Cause. Be The Cause now holds monthly Compassion Cells to enhance the spirit of service in others, Sacred Site visits to promote understanding of various faiths, and a Walk for Hope that builds inspiration on the annual anniversary of 9/11. Be The Cause has also created a portal for progress on the internet that allows non-profit organizations and individuals to interact and share content. Sukh Chugh has received several awards for his tireless efforts to improve the community, including the esteemed interfaith Spirit in Action Award. Mr. Chugh states that all praise should be given to a feeling: It is the feeling of compassion that urges us to serve selflessly, and that feeling exists in everyone.
"The Jam simply helped me become a better person, which now enables me to contribute more fully to the planet. It accelerated those questions that needed nourishment and highlighted those that need attention. I am left not only in a space of hope, but also with a sense of determination."
