Michael is the Director of Youth Programs with the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation. Michael spearheads the design, implementation, and revision of the Foundation's Youth Outreach Initiative, which creates and supports opportunities for youth to contribute toward a world at peace, free from the threat of war and free of weapons of mass destruction. Guiding principles of the Initiative include confidence in youth as responsible citizens and community leaders; respect for cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity; and a belief in nonviolence and dialogue as a means to resolve conflict. Michael serves as a consultant to the Compton Foundation, a board member of the Fund for Santa Barbara and as a team member on the new YES project focusing on donor organizing among young people of color.
