Kiritapu is one of those people that wakes up on any given day in completely

through all types of spaces. Peace and justice lie at the core of all that
it is that she does. In saying that she admitts that it is another matter to
fully embody these concepts at the personal level and strives to attain the
balance of peace and justice within her own self, family, community and
country. Kiritapu is indigenous to Aotearoa, specifically she comes from the
peoples of Ngati Ranginui, Ngai Te Rangi, Tuwharetoa and Te Arawa which are
tribes from the middle of the North Island. Her work revolves around
educating and inspiring all peoples about learning from our histories so
that we can create a sustainable, just and hopeful future.
"My life was at a crossroad point when I came to the Jam. In my work, the options were to either quit, because I was burning out or to lose my sense of self in what I was doing. Throughout the Jam, when I felt like I was going to fall, the group caught me and nurtured me into a place where I found my heart and felt like I could breathe again."
