John Chen, 37, PLAYTIME, Inc., Shoreline, WAAfter a successful ten year career at Microsoft where John shipped over ten products, helped the first client/server email server ship which went on to ship over 100 million client licenses, and successfully earned two U.S. Patents while gaining a reputation of getting eight or more technical teams to collaborate, John left to start PLAYTIME Inc. PLAYTIME Inc. creates life-changing adventures by infusing team and leadership skills through technology and adventure. PLAYTIME Inc. has earned the Top 40 Entrepreneurs Under The Age of 40 and Innovative Business Practices Awards while helping Fortune 500 companies such as Microsoft, REI and Booz Allen Hamilton. John is also the Trustee for the Chenstein O’MalleySven Foundation which has granted over $400,000 to innovative non-profits who are making a true difference in the world as well as fundraising over $500,000 for various charities and winning various awards such as the top fundraising team twice for the Jimmie Huega Foundation for MS and the Washington National Park Fund. In his personal life, John has studied with great leaders including Tony Robbins and has led teams in 1,200 person leadership retreats and has pursued great adventures including heli-boarding, sky diving, walking on 40 ft. of hot coals, summiting Mt. Rainier 3 times, and summiting Denali in 2003.
