Bio:
Evelyn Arce-White, Chibcha (Colombian) descent, serves as Coordinator for International Funders for Indigenous Peoples. She obtained her Master’s of Art in Teaching Degree at Cornell University with a concentration in Agriculture Extension and Adult Education and received several scholarships for her education. She currently holds two New York State Teaching certifications: one in Agricultural Education and the other in Extension Coordination of Diversified Cooperative Work-Study Programs. She was a high-school teacher for nearly seven years with the Office of Children and Family Services in Lansing, NY and won several awards for best Independent Living Facility, Most Multi-culturally Award and Employee of the month. Ms. Arce-White worked as a Communications Consultant for the Iewirokwas Program, a Native American Midwifery Program for several years. She coordinated the American Indian Millennium Conference held at Cornell University in November 2001. She has contributed as a diversity consultant for Cornell's Empowering Family Development Program Curriculum. She has been running IFIP for six years now and has taken it from almost being completely abandoned to one of the most respected international association of donors in the country.
