Bio:

Elspeth Gilmore is the Program Coordinator at Resource Generation (RG,) where she works to support, challenge and organize young people with wealth to use their resources and class privilege for social justice. Working for RG grew out of her ongoing journey to figure out how she, as an owning class, white, queer, woman, can bring her full self to making change in the world. Elspeth is a founding member of the Gulf South Allied Funders, a group of progressive donors who have partnered with the Twenty-First Century Foundation to support the equitable rebuilding in the Gulf South. She is working on redistributing her inheritance to people and organizations doing the work that it takes to move towards justice, and plans to spend the rest of her life using her privilege to have the conversations, make the connections and strengthen the relationships that build movements. Elspeth also loves to be outside, spend time with family and friends, bike, and dig in the dirt. She also co-coordinated a month long women artists residency in 2005, has been a potter, and sees herself as an artist.
