The program will include presentations from young visionaries that will incorporate stories, spoken word, dance, skits and speaking from the heart. Convened
by Youth for Environmental Sanity (YES!)
|
| YES! (www.yesworld.org) is a non-profit organization that connects, supports and inspires young changemakers working for a thriving, just and sustainable way of life for all. YES! has spoken in person to more than 629,000 students in school assemblies and held 78 week-long camps and Youth Jams for young leaders from 50 nations. YES!'s Youth Jams are week long gatherings (national and global) for dynamic activists and leaders under age 30 who are already at the forefront of building a better world. Specially selected participants include young people who have founded organizations, led movements, become social pioneers, and whose lives, work and commitment are an inspiration to all of us. We believe that some of them are the Mother Theresa's, Mahatma Gandhi's, and Martin Luther King, Jr.'s, of the next generation. The young visionaries at this event are among YES!'s Jam alumni. YES! does not endorse political candidates or parties. We are hosting Congressman Kucinich because we applaud his message, not because we endorse his candidacy. |
