P3: Power and Privilege for the People Fall Jam
Bailey Farms

What is P3?
P3 is movement-building project with the goal of creating safe spaces for critical and compassionate dialogue among young people of color with significant social and financial capital. The focus of P3 is to create a community of privileged changemakers from communities of color and learn from our collective past as we plan for the future.

What is the Fall Jam?
A Jam is a chance for young change-makers to share their experiences, ideas, questions, hopes and struggles; to learn and unlearn from each other; and to build relationships that matter to them. Jam participants share a common intention to explore vital issues and to grow and learn together. We come together for a week to build bonds of community, understanding and trust between people and movements, and to gain support and skills for the work to which we wish to commit our lives. The Jam will take place at Bailey Farm--is a rustic, private, serene retreat and conference center located in Westchester County, New York on 17 secluded wooded acres just 45 minutes north of New York City. Who Should Participate in the Jam?
The P3 Jam will bring together 20-25 young people, aged 20-40 from different racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Their privilege may come from a wide variety of circumstances including: fame, inherited wealth, professional position, luck, skill or access (meaning the capacity to leverage wealth and fame indirectly--through a vehicle other than ones own "ownership"--, but demonstrably).

APPLICATIONS DUE SEPTEMBER 19th.
