What are our unique experiences, struggles and dreams? How can we face the realities of the social and environmental crises of our times without being overwhelmed, and without turning numb? What would it look like to bring our lives and our resources into alignment with our life's highest commitments? How can we grow in our physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual health?

We invite you to participate in a day-long workshop on the theme of Leveraging Privilege for Social Change. It is an opportunity to explore diverse experiences with privilege and to engage in authentic conversations about who we are, our struggles and hopes, and the changes we'd like to see in the world. We hope to create a context in which we can take off masks and build community, with the possibility of self-transformation.

This workshop is inspired by an annual event of the same name, put on by YES! and its partners. It is meant to give a taste of transformative healing work for activists, philanthropists, artists, entrepreneurs and 'plain folks' of all ages. We're looking for participants who desire to make a difference with their lives, who feel that they have some significant privilege (whether through earning, luck, inheritance, education, skills to share, public attention, or professional position) and who are willing to share honestly about some of the crucial issues in their lives and our world. This workshop is a place for learning, growing, and deepening in our capacity to use the resources in our lives to make a difference in the world.

It will run from 10:00 am - 5:30 pm. We ask participants to bring their own lunches; snacks and drinks will be provided. We invite people to contribute to the workshop on a sliding scale of $5 to $200. All donations to YES! are tax-deductible.
