Resource Generation 2010 Internship Opportunity

RG is hiring an intern in New York City to work 15 hours per week from February 1 – July 1, 2010 (start/end dates negotiable). The intern will gain an introduction to the field of philanthropy, social justice organizing and many facets of non-profit work while working to support RG’s national organizing and campaign work.
Projects will focus on supporting national chapter organizing, our annual leadership training (Donor Organizing Institute), and our Campaign. Work will include compiling our monthly e-update, as well as program related database and administrative tasks. Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to take on a small scale project that contributes to RG’s program work.
The qualified candidate will display:
* An interest in social justice, philanthropy, and youth organizing
* Strong communication and organization skills
* A willingness to perform administrative tasks with enthusiasm and attention to detail
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel
* An understanding of the importance of confidentiality
Helpful skills: Salesforce (or similar), Microsoft Office, Facebook, Twitter
In addition to school credit, interns receive a $750 stipend for 5 months.
